It gives me a little boost when I see posts get some likes. It’s positive feedback for me, and lets me know that people are enjoying enough, to be moved to press the heart button 💓
Likes may help my page out too! The total number of likes my page gets, is shown at the top of page. I think some people look at the number of likes, perhaps as an indicator as to how active or well established a page is. It kinda makes sense that, a page with a high-ish like count could mean that the page is more active, or has more frequent posts. The likes have to add up from somewhere, right? A high like count doesn’t always equate to a great page, but it’s something to go on!
A page with a low like count, could be an indicator that the page is new, perhaps the creator deleted a bunch of posts (removing likes from the count), or maybe the poster is not very active/doesn’t have many posts up at the time.
So, your likes add up and perhaps make my page look good to new fans, who could be on the fence about subscribing. Gives me some credibility maybe!
