I have trouble sometimes getting started with my workouts. And i really enjoy it most of the time! Sometimes I'm just so in work mode, even when it IS time to take a break, it's that "one more thing" mentality, which sometimes takes you to fatigue or burn out if done too often.
Sometimes you just gotta step away, listen to that whisper inside that says "hey i'd like a break now, i want to move"
Sometimes it's hard to start because i'm sore or stiff (hello me, pls schedule regular athletic therapy!!) and it's kinda discouraging to get moving if your body feels a bit out of whack. But gentle movement is a healing remedy. You don't have to go all in, or do as much as you would when you're feeling your best.
Movement can boost the mood, helps you form a healthy habit, and honestly just helps YOU feel better and have a better day.
So release expectations, go easy on yourself. Movement is just as important, if not more, than getting "one more thing" done. 🙏 Your body and mind DESERVE the space to move, dance, lift, play. It's okay if it's less than usual, or something simple.
Also, it's just great to practice switching gears! Going from work mode to workout mode i think is challenging because it's a gear shift. And like most things, i think the more we do it, the better at it we become 💪 So practice that transition today!
