It’s kind of wild that we won’t be separated from each other anymore. She will finally be moving in with me so I can care for her full time and give her the best golden years possible. I’ll be embarking on the journey just after the new year. When I first moved out of state, leaving her behind with my family was excruciating, but I knew it was the best for her at the time. Since then, I’ve worked very hard to get to this point, and I’m just, I don’t know, I guess I’m really proud to be in this position — where I can take on this commitment and do what’s best for her now. If you were around in October you maybe know that I almost lost her. I got to her just in time — and at that stage, I really didn’t know if I would be saying goodbye or saving her life. Thank god it was the latter. My connection to this sweet girl is otherworldly. And while I’m convinced we’ve had past lives together, what I know for certain is that in this life - she saved mine time and time again.
